The CSIRO Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness is Australia's premier containment facility. With biocontainment facilities ranging from PC2 to PC4, the Dangerous Pathogens team can conduct preclinical testing of vaccines and therapeutics at "near GLP" level of quality assurance, generating reports suitable for regulatory bodies. With significant expertise and capabilities in assessing countermeasures against a wide range of high consequence human and animal pathogens such as coronaviruses, filoviruses and henipaviruses, we specialise in animal challenge models of various species, from mice through to horses.
